Builder's Notes:
Not a faithful vintage replica, but what I would have ordered if I were around in 1959. While I love the look of the wider two-tone sunburst and a rosewood fretboard, an ash body with a rosewood fretboard typically had a blonde finish in 1959, and would have likely been sporting an 8 hole slightly thicker single ply pickguard, while this has a thinner 1 ply 5 hole guard. Featuring premium tonewoods, electronics, and our new ECGC custom pickups from McNelly Pickups, this guitar punches well above its weight (which, ahem, for a rosewood fretboard tele is just about as good as it gets).
Much love,
LP
